Families.
Photographing people is what I do. I specialise in capturing emotions and connections between people and a family portrait session is the perfect place to do this.
My aim is to make each session as relaxed as possible, so don’t worry about having to pose awkwardly for the duration, I take an informal approach and offer “prompts” rather than “poses” that will allow you to have fun and feel comfortable in front of the camera. I want you to look at your photographs and remember having a fun time with your loved ones, not having to sit awkwardly and smile.
All family photography sessions can take place either at your home, or at a location of your choice, and last up to 60 minutes (I do always allow a bit of extra time incase we need to round up any children, furry friends or relatives that may have gone astray.)
Tiny Toes.
They’re HERE! HOORAY! CONGRATULATIONS! Your little one has arrived and is a bundle of tiny fingers, tiny toes and squeezable little cheeks. Technically, they are only a newborn for the first four weeks, and as much as that’s an ideal time to photograph them at their “newborn” stage, you as parents might not be ready for a photography session just yet.
Whenever you are ready, I bring my studio to you, in the comfort of your home, surrounded by as many nappies, muslins and changes of clothes as you all may need. I always allow extra time for Newborn photography sessions, to make sure Mum, Baby and Dad are settled, fed, changed and burped. There is no rush, I am led by you and your babies needs at all time.
Bumps.
As a mother, I know all too well how the parts of life we value the most seem to fly by in an instant. All my portrait photography sessions are about taking the time to slow down, making them perfect for expectant mothers, newborns and surprisingly toddlers. When I say slow down, I mean take time: time to get to know you, time to see your personalities, time to let you feel comfortable and be yourselves.
Pregnancy is an emotional, and at times, nauseating rollercoaster and is just the start of your journey into Parenthood, and so a Maternity photo session is the perfect way to celebrate the impending arrival of your bundle of joy! Maternity photo sessions can be at your home or at a location of your choice, wherever you feel most comfortable, (I would recommend also choosing somewhere with a toilet close by, if you know, you know!)
Cheeky Toddlers.
There are many BIG milestones to celebrate for our tiny people. Sitting, crawling, walking, first birthdays. And the key to all this, patience.
Something I seem to have in abundance with other peoples children.
I understand that they will not want to sit still, at least not for long. That’s why I will take the time to find out about your little one, what they like, what activities the like doing, what makes them laugh and we will tailor their portrait session around them.
How It Works.
Step 01
Getting to know you.
Every booking starts with a pre-session consultation (also known as a chat). This is an opportunity for you to get to know me, and for me to get to know you, and find out more about what you want to capture at your photo session.
I will answer any questions you might have, give advice on what to wear/not wear etc etc.
This can be a done via video/phone or over coffee and cake!
Step 02
Being your beautiful selves.
On the day of your photo session, we will meet at your chosen location and then the fun begins.
Depending on the location and the type of session you've booked we may do photographs in a number of areas. I will do my very best to put those who are camera shy at ease and we'll create a collection of beautiful photographs together, whilst having FUN!
Step 03
Editing your photos.
The hard parts over, you laughed, you smiled beautifully. Now what?
I go away and start work on editing your photographs, I’ll curate a beautiful collection to send to you in your private online preview gallery.
It can take up to two weeks to get your preview gallery to you (often it’s much quicker).
Step 04
Choosing memories to treasure.
Once you’ve had chance to look at your gallery, we’ll schedule a call and I’ll help you to choose your favourites, any extras you might like such as additional photographs, framing or albums.
Your chosen photographs will then be fully retouched and sent to you as high resolution digital images, or as prints/frames/albums if you’ve chosen one of those options.

FAQs

Your preview gallery will typically have around 15-30 photographs to choose from. Although these will be edited in my style, it is only when you choose your favourite images that they will be fully retouched before being available to download or print. You will then be able to choose your favourite 5 with the option to choose more for an additional cost.

I allow up to 1 or 2 hours for a photo session, this gives us plenty of time to make sure that I can capture everything, without rushing or anybody stressing. It also means that if they're a children or babies in the photo session that there's plenty of time for feeding, nappy changes and getting settled.

You can never predict the English weather, if the weather is really bad, then we can reschedule your portrait photography session for a later date, or choose a different location.
However, if you’re up for it and there’s no risk of being washed or blown away, we can brave the elements, splash in the puddles, sled in the snow and just have fun!

I can take payment by debit/ credit card and also by bank transfer.
A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required to secure your booking. Remaining balances are due 48hr before your chosen date.

Yes, is the simple answer.
I will want to share some of your photographs across my social channels and on my website/blog.
I will never include your full names or tag you in photographs on social media, however I would encourage you to share and tag me if you wish.
